Republican Michael Cloud won the special election on Saturday for an open seat in congress from Texas.
The seat was formerly held by Blake Farenthold who resigned in April after allegations of sexual harassment surfaced.
Cloud is a former Republican Party county chairman and will face another election in November to stay in congress.
